There is something exhilarating and inspiring about standing at the edge of the ocean after a storm or as the sun goes down.

There are many beautiful effects in nature, but to work on canvas, they have to present a composition, an interesting way of organizing the light or color scheme. In that sense, it's clouds that make a sunset. They give it depth, dimension and color.
